Con un attacco portato a poco più di 500 metri dalla conclusione, Ivan Sosa ha staccato i riivali, il leader della corsa, Remco Evenepoel e Mikel Landa ed è andato a conquistare il successo nella tappa finale della Vuelta a Burgos. Nono posto finale per Fabio Aru.
